Are humans so afraid of their weaknesses that they cannot tolerate greatness nor intelligence in other beings?

Mahatma Gandhi had much to say about man and the environment. I'm sure he would be appalled at the way we treat other living things in our 'enlightened' world.

"You must be the change you wish to see in the world."
                                                              Mahatma Gandhi

"You must not lose faith in humanity. Humanity is an ocean: if a few drops of the ocean are dirty, the ocean does not become dirty."

                                                                                                    Mahatma Gandhi

"A man is but a product of his thoughts; what he thinks, he becomes."

                                                                 Mahatma Gandhi

"Even if you are a minority of one, the truth is the truth."

                                                            Mahatma Gandhi

"It has always been a mystery to me how men can feel themselves honoured by the humiliation of their fellow beings."

                                                                Mahatma Gandhi

"Where there is love there is life."
                                                                  Mahatma Gandhi
